Popular between January 15th to April 15th. Straight out from our shore or in the channels.

SnowsFest is a festival during the February ice fishing season with a pike fishing contest.
Steve Tassier Memorial Ice Fishing Derby is usually three days in the beginning of March. You can find more information for each year at the Islands Wildlife Association facebook.
SALMON FISHING
Several species of Salmon can be caught in 60 to 250 feet of water offshore with the proper boat and equipment. Most anglers use a 360 flasher with fly or spoon. The lure must be presented at the depth of the fish. Salmon tend to hang out in under 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Every August there is a Slammon Salmon derby in Hessel. For 2023 the tournament is Aug 26th.
